Ltd., Chennai (51:49) has set up a new state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Madhavaram, Chennai to expand its production capacity. There is a BMS programme to optimise the efficiency of air conditioning and ventilation system. A sewage treatment and effl uent treatment plant with zero discharge re-uses the water for the garden.
As 5% of its employees are differently abled, the unit is appropriately designed to enable them easy movement within the campus. The unit will, in addition to the existing line of products, also manufacture a new range of energy saving fans, called EC range (Electronically Commutated) which converts AC power input to DC. The new unit uses RFID-enabled inventory management system and critical areas are web enabled to help ebmpapst, Germany to monitor them when required. The company caters mainly to the telecom, cold storage and HVAC industries with their product range including compact fans, axial fans, centrifugal blowers, hot air blowers, motors and EC fans.
In 1984, Nadi Airtechnics started as a distributor for ebm fans in India. In September 1995, a joint venture was formed between the German partners and Nadi to enable local manufacturing with the first unit of emb-Nadi being established on March 27, 1996.
