ASHRAE Invites Comments on Standard 120, Publishes Errata Sheet for Standard 33
01 November 2016

ASHRAE invites comments on ASHRAE Standard 120-2008R, Method of Testing to Determine Flow Resistance of HVAC Ducts and Fittings. This revision establishes uniform methods of laboratory testing of HVAC ducts and fi ttings to determine their resistance to airflow. The fitting losses, which are reported as local loss coefficients, are used to update and refine the ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database. ASHRAE has also recently published an errata sheet for Standard 33-2016, Methods of Testing Forced-Circulation Air-Cooling and Air-Heating Coils. The errata sheet corrects a number of typographical errors in the formulas for airfl ow, average air specific gravity, and the nozzle factor formula.
These corrections have been made in both the associated calculation worksheets and in the body of the standard.
