Magnatron International has introduced Airtron, a programmable microprocessor-based AC energy saver with dual sensors. It claims energy savings up to 35% while maintaining and displaying the precise set temperature. Airtron’s dual sensors reference the room and coil and ambient temperature, and the device uses complex, multiple algorithms in a closed-loop circuit to reduce the compressor run-time while maintaining and displaying the set temperature accurately. It is programmable for the user’s geographical location and climate, and adapts automatically to changes in season and ambient conditions. This device has been developed on patent-published technology and validated by Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. (EESL), Ministry of Power, Government of India for 44% savings. Airtron has been validated on inverter ACs, 5 Star splits, multi-splits, package units, ductables, window units and cassettes from 1 to 20 TR. It comes with a remote for setting the room temperature, in a non-flammable polycarbonate enclosure with SMPS power supply to tolerate wide voltage and current fluctuations, surges, spikes and sags.
