Belimo has introduced new actuator and valve technologies for butterfly valves, which increase reliability and flexibility, simplify installation and reduce energy consumption. The new generation of butterfly valves for high flows features wider application flexibility and longer life. The new PR actuators can be used with Belimo valves and are also compatible with third-party valve suppliers globally. With their lower overall height and reduced weight, these PR actuators are quick and easy to install. This valve-actuator combination allows for substantial energy savings. The visual position indicator shows the position of the butterfly valve from a distance. Near Field Communication (NFC) allows wireless parameterization via smartphone, even if the actuator is not connected to power supply. This set of technologies can run a quick and thorough functional check for diagnosis during commissioning and in the operating phase, leading to increased operational safety. The butterfly valves are also available with the patented SuperCap technology, which allows moving to the desired safety position during a power failure – an application utilized, for example, in data centers.
