RATA conducted a seminar to educate the trade on the intricacies of the cold chain business on August 10 in Mumbai. Named ‘Cold Chain Vyapaar’, the seminar was supported by ISHRAE Mumbai Chapter, ASHRAE Mumbai Chapter, HESAM and REFCOLD. The venue was The Mirador.
With the focus by the government on Cold Chain as an important part of the food chain and its growth potential in the Indian market, the event was organised to build the right type of skill sets among the trade, ready to take the business as it comes. RATA plans to take this event to 12 cities that have large potential for this business.
The objectives of this series of events are:
1. To explain the opportunities available in the Cold Chain industry and help answer queries of trade members interested in building and maintaining refrigeration systems.
2. To explain the quality and efficiency standards that need to be followed in building these refrigeration solutions in the Cold Chain.
3. Connect trade members to OEM brands and allied suppliers to help grow their Cold Chain business in an organised manner.
