This 25,000 sq m facility showcases the wide range of technology and service solutions for the cold chain industry available from Emerson, including custom-build products like an assembly line for condensing units suited for Indian conditions and markets, and project design services. Driven by the high demand for customized products and the growing trend towards larger cold storages, Emerson has set up a full-fledged assembly line capable of handling larger refrigeration systems like semi-hermetic condensing units and multi-scroll racks. The training centre provides comprehensive training in the company’s workshop facilities to customers and partners. Since its inception, over 150 refrigeration engineers and technicians across the country have been trained with modules covering a wide range of topics including refrigeration basics, cold room design practices and troubleshooting. In addition to this, Emerson has started offering expert project design services to cold room contractors. From heat load calculation to customized refrigeration solution, Emerson’s team works with them to ensure that the cold storage project is optimally designed. These services cater to the wide range of refrigerated facilities like ripening chambers, CA chambers, cold storages, multiple cold storages, blast freezers etc. Along with enhanced delivery services, Emerson offers service and support to partners in the refrigeration industry through its service centre, and seeks to strengthen technical support to customers in the region. The facility features a semihermetic compressor repair and overhauling centre equipped with all the tools and equipment for servicing and testing. To improve the delivery services and facilitate ease of sourcing, the Emerson distribution centre would serve as a central hub for the complete range of cold chain products covering compressors, condensing units, flow controls, electronics and spares.
