ISHRAE Certification Program (ICP) offers all HVAC&R personnel the opportunity to enhance their skill set, while ensuring an industry wide standardization of project competency – AC SERVICE LEVEL 1

 

WHAT IS ICP AC SERVICE LEVEL- 1?

Level 1 is an entry level program, and anyone interested in HVAC & R industry, whether novice or experienced, is welcome to sign up for the certification course.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ATTENDANCE

Junior & Senior Service Technicians, AC machines and plant operators preferably having minimum ITI or equivalent qualifications in air-conditioning and refrigeration Systems.

 

Particulars from servicing & repair establishments, installation & contracting firms carrying out routine servicing of light & domestic air conditioning units, package & ductable a/c units, small central plant installations, service departments of manufacturing companies, hotels & commercial establishments. Professionals interfacing with air-conditioning industry will also find this valuable certification useful.

 

VALIDITY OF THE CERTIFICATION

5 years from the date of certification.

 

AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES

The course is made up of two modules. At the end of second module there will be an examination. Certificate of accomplishment will be issued for those candidates who attend the two modules and successfully complete the examination.

 

Those who attend the course and do not pass the examination, will be given an opportunity to retake the examination when it is held again, after paying the examination fee of Rs 750/-.

 

ISSUING OF CERTIFICATES

The certificates of accomplishment will be issued by IIE HQ, who will also maintain records of certified professionals. Names of successful candidates will be listed on the ISHRAE website for the duration of validity.

 

RE-CERTIFICATION

Certificates are valid for 5 years. After this period, candidates will be eligible to retake the examination by paying the applicable fees.

 

Candidates can take the Level 2 certification once they have been certified for Level 1.

 

CLASS STRENGTH

Class strength will be limited to a maximum of 20 students to enable the instructor to give individual attention. In any case, the class strength shall not exceed 35.

 

Admission will be on first come first serve basis.

Module 1:

·   Customer Service-soft skills

·   Types & Classification of AC system

·   Thermodynamics- Refrigeration Cycle

·   Introduction to Psychrometrics

·   Refrigeration components and Controls

 

Module 2:

·   Oils, Refrigerants, Good Installation Practices etc

·   Electrical Fundamentals for HVAC

·   Trouble Shooting

·   AC Plant Maintenance

·   Pressure testing, leak detection, vacumising and practical demonstration work shop.

·   Examination

Participation Fees:

Rs.4,000/- (Plus 15% Service Tax) = Rs. 4,600/-

Rs. 5,000/- (Plus 15% Service Tax) = Rs. 5,750/-

 

Re-Exam Fees: Rs. 750/- + Service Tax
