Carrier Midea Unveils New Range of Residential ACs
15 May 2014

Carrier Midea India Private Limited (CMI) has unveiled a wide new range of Carrier brand residential window and high-wall air conditioners for Indian consumers, with the objective to significantly increase the sales of its residential ACs. Carrier is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corporation. The new range comprises 37 models of high-wall split and window air conditioning units, including three variants in the high-wall inverter category. The range uses only copper condenser-based outdoor units, and is competitively priced from Rs.27,050. It will be available across India through a wide network of sales and service dealers, multi-brand retail outlets and authorized distributors. The high-wall inverter segment has seen healthy growth recently, and CMI believes the launch of the three high-wall inverter variants will help it grow further in this segment. These models come with a direct-current inverter for energy savings, comfort and quiet operation, while the use of non ozone depleting R410a refrigerant off ers an environmentally balanced option.
