JCI Creates World’s First Universal Actuator

Johnson Controls has produced the world’s first actuator featuring universal input and automatic signal detection in China. The M9310 series of actuators off ers universal input, which allows contractors and distributors to reduce their inventory and have the right model for the job. The automatic signal detection capability enables easy confi guration during installation. This new family of actuators will be produced at Johnson Controls’ manufacturing facility in Wuxi, China. The plant is a recognized ISO 9001 and LEED Gold facility, and is the first site in Asia – second globally – to produce the M9310 units. Johnson Controls has planned the opening of a second global corporate headquarters in Shanghai in 2017. This follows a US$35 million investment into expanding its manufacturing and research and development center in Wuxi in 2014.
