Pressure Independent Flow Limiter Valve
PIFLVTM is a pressure independent flow limiter valve that is specially designed for ON/OFF cooling zone applications. It is suitable for applications where large ΔT is required. PIFLVTM has a large flow rate range (up to 1 I/s), incorporates a clog-resistant flow limiter design, has a low working pressure 20kPa to be pressure independent, has zero leakage to minimize energy loss and comes with high body pressure rating PN25. The actuator runs at low power and achieves quick actuation: 75s/90s as standard with fast running options of 7s, 15s and 35s. The brushless DC motor’s power consumption when running is only 0.3 W (0.15 W when holding), saving energy and transformer power. In addition to significantly reducing energy costs, this helps eliminate failures due to stalled motors and prolongs actuator life. It also allows for more units to be powered by a single transformer.

Cloud Based Solution for Third Generation Energy Valve™

This control valve continuously optimizes water flow, automatically adjusts it to current climatic conditions and eliminates the so called ΔT syndrome. Technical support from Belimo can likewise give  customers better and faster advice, thanks to the available data. Belimo has supplemented the ultrasonic flow measurement with its patented glycol meter. Many systems require a mixture of water and glycol as a heat transfer fluid. The new Belimo Energy Valve™ monitors this glycol concentration
and protects the plants against frost.
