The evening of February 28 at Sahara Star unfolded a spectacular show hosted, as usual, by Daikin India. The ACREX Awards of Excellence Night was meant to celebrate the spirit of ACREX and those who toiled to serve the industry and to make this year’s ACREX a huge success.

C. Subramaniam opened the event and welcomed the participants. Sanjay Goel (Director & Vice President, Daikin India) acknowledged ISHRAE’s efforts in organising ACREX, and expressed happiness for being associated with ACREX Awards year after year. He took the opportunity to announce Daikin’s foray into the field of refrigeration.

C. Subramaniam began the awards ceremony by presenting ISHRAE Hall of Fame to three industry stalwarts who passed away during the last one year: late Dr. Prem C. Jain, late Anil Maheshwari and late Prof. P. L. Ballaney.

Satish Iyengar of Bangalore Chapter was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award.

ACREX Awards of Excellence were presented to products showcased in the exhibition in various categories. The exhibits that received the awards in various categories are described below.

The eminent Jury for the awards consisted of Ajaj Kazi, Sanjay Goel, Ulhas Sharma, Shankar Sapaliga and Dr. Roshini Easow. They were felicitated by Vikram Murthy.

V. Krishnan, Chair – ACREX 2019 invited the Host Committee members on the dais for felicitation and a group photo.

The evening also saw the launch of ACREX 2020, planned at International Expo Mart Limited (IEML) at Greater Noida in the National Capital Region, from February 27 to 29, 2020. Sushil Choudhury is the Chair, and Anoop Ballaney is the Convenor. The vote of thanks was proposed by Sangita Jhangiani, Thermax was the winner for hybrid heat pump President – ISHRAE Mumbai Chapter
