ISHRAE Works with BIS for Sustainable Building Norms

BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) is in the process of writing the Standards for Sustainability in Building Construction. BIS has invited ISHRAE to participate in the Sectional Committee set up for this purpose. Building Construction will have several components, civil being the main. BIS will take ISHRAE inputs for System Design, spelt out by BIS as ‘Identifying sustainability parameters and criteria, and defining corresponding sustainability indices leading to standardization’. The focus will be on energy use and consumption level.
