Ingersoll Rand to Invest Rs.100 crores in Gujarat Manufacturing Facility

Ingersoll Rand has announced that it will invest Rs.100 crores to upgrade its manufacturing facility in Naroda, near Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The strategic investment will reinforce Ingersoll Rand’s growth strategy in India focused on innovation, technology and product development and their long standing commitment to the country. Products and solutions manufactured at the Naroda plant will be distributed across Indian as well as global markets. With this investment, the facility will transform into a modern, state-of-the-art facility. The strategic investment at the plant will support production of a complete range of reciprocating, rotary and centrifugal compressors from 0.75 to 4500 kW. Technologies for air treatment, filtration solutions, storage solutions, energy saving control solutions, remote monitoring as well as energy saving modular solutions for compressed air will be enhanced. 

The facility will also add new product lines. The ISO 9001: 2008 certified Naroda manufacturing facility is spread over an area of approximately 14 acres and caters to markets such as industrial efficiency, transportation, food security, logistics, process, pharmaceutical, healthcare, cement, mining and defence. Besides the expanded manufacturing facility, the company’s operations in India include two manufacturing facilities in Chennai and Sahibabad (near Delhi) and two Engineering and Technology Centers at Bangalore and Chennai. With a workforce close to 2000, Ingersoll Rand has a presence in more than 18 locations in India.
