Kirloskar Chillers Launches TurbolevTM
03 March 2015

Kirloskar Chillers, a part of the Pune-based engineering conglomerate Kirloskar Group, has introduced its TurbolevTM range of water cooled variable speed chillers with magnetic bearing centrifugal compressors. The bearings use the principle of magnetic levitation. Certified in accordance with AHRI 500/590 and AHRI 551/591, these chillers are highly energy efficient, reliable and quiet. The TurbolevTM range was launched at a meet on November 7 at ITC Maratha, Mumbai,
attended by HVAC consultants and users from all over India. Kirloskar Chillers has a state-of-the-art facility in Pune for manufacturing and testing the chillers. The range extends from 95 TR to 375 TR, with single and dual compressor confi gurations. These chillers can save 18-20% energy over conventional screw chillers, resulting in lower carbon footprint. They operate oilfree since there is no need for compressor lubrication. The soft start module significantly reduces in-rush current at start-up. They work with refrigerant HFC-134a. Kirloskar Chillers has been a major player in the HVAC market since its inception in 1996. It is the only Indian manufacturer to produce centrifugal and screw chillers under one roof. Its products are designed for a wide range of operating conditions including brine. It was the first Indian chiller manufacturer to acquire AHRI certification for its water-cooled screw and centrifugal chillers in 2006, and also the first to establish an AHRI test bed facility in 2008. Its screw chillers, available in aircooled and water-cooled versions, range from 50 TR to 500 TR,
and centrifugal chillers from 250 TR to 2,400 TR. Visit www.kcpl.net.in for more information.
