Vibrosolve Launches Spring Isolators for AHUs
16 November 2018

ASHRAE Applications Handbook provides guidelines about maximum allowable vibration level of HVAC equipment for various applications, and the type of vibration isolators to be used in such equipment.
In case of ceiling suspended AHUs, it is advisable to use spring isolators to achieve isolation effi ciency of at least 90%. Design of such AHUs demands compactness. Hence, the spring isolators to be used in such units should be of minimum possible operating height. Currently, the height of the spring isolators readily available in the market is in the range of 90-110 mm. Now, Vibrosolve has introduced a small-height range of spring isolators. Their technical features are as follows:
a. Spring isolator capacity available in 25, 50, 75 and 100 kg, and the corresponding rated deflection is 15 mm.

b. The operating free height of the isolator is only 52 mm, which would be further reduced up to 37 mm after the full rated deflection of 15 mm.
c. Special holding and restraint arrangements make it easy to transport AHUs in assembled condition along with spring isolators.
d. Height-level adjustment provision is available by default.
e. Springs are designed in special spring steel, with adequate lateral stability.
