Fan Energy Index (FEI) is a new wireto-air, design-point metric emphasizing compliant fan selections based on operating points. Ziehl-Abegg is the first company worldwide to certify a product range (ZAbluefin) for FEI. In 2018, Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International introduced FEI to save energy, reduce operating costs and accelerate decarbonization. Twenty-seven ZAbluefin centrifugal fans with GR modules in several combinations using different motors are certified, as are the former product range Cpro and C. Ziehl-Abegg believes that high-precision measuring instruments and regular training for employees, combined with routine inspections by external organizations such as AMCA and TÜV, are essential for customer confidence in its products.
